As many here know I lost a lot of my film collection in the storm. All my Blue-Underground blu-ray’s made it, but lost a good deal of my DVDs. Even some on this list were replacements. But here is my Blue-Underground collection.

Nice collection bro! I have never seen The Bird and now I feel like watching The Prowler. Such a classic slasher! Thanks!

You must see Bird with the Crystal Plumage, amazing film. I actually reviewed that here when this page first started.
As for the Prowler. One of my all-time favorite slasher flicks. Quite honestly it would probably be in my top 5 of the 80s and probably top 10 all time slashers
January 29, 2013 at 6:50 pm
Yep! It’s in my Top 10 slashers for sure along with The Burning too.
January 29, 2013 at 6:52 pm
Yeah the Burning was solid. I lost the DVD, but its cool sometime this year Shout Factory is putting it out on blu-ray so I would upgrade anyway. Only downside is having to wait lol. Not gonna replace the DVD only to buy the BD when released.

Shout Factory works hard at releasing those great titles.

They also have Hospital Massacre and Town That Dreaded Sundown due up at some point. No idea if its blu-ray and or DVD.
Shout is kind of the new Anchor Bay. Only downside is their blu-rays general go for like 25$ so I’ve passed on a couple due to that unless something I really want.

Wow, that much? Yikes. Town That Dreaded Sundown is a title I need. Awesome movie.

Cheapest I got a Shout BD (not counting tax or shipping) was 19.99 for They Live and even that is a little high. So when they like 24.99 that’s nearly 30$ after tax and shipping.
Most of the blu-Underground titles on blu-ray I bought for under 20$ except like 3.
I have a copy of Town recorded off TCM, but will buy the official release. A lot of great stuff due out this year.
Synapse at some point is releasing Argento’s Tenebre and Phenomena. Can’t wait.
January 29, 2013 at 7:15 pm
Those are 2 good Argento titles. I forgot to get my copy of They Live! Gotta get that.

They Live is an excellent release. Even if pricey it is a solid release. Despite the prices the quality and content is always good from Shout. Still more than I like to pay, but when getting a good release it makes it a little easier.

you got Maniac that’s all you need
January 29, 2013 at 11:50 pm
Hell yeah!!! Just watched it again last night. Great film. Though of all of Lustig’s films Maniac might be 2nd. Vigilante would maybe be my top pick.
Tough call,both are great.
From a release standpoint Maniac might be the best in terms of extras.,video wise Vigilante or NY Ripper

While I have only seen The Crazies and Zombie from your list, I loved them both. However, my brother handles many of the horror reviews so I may have to point him in this direction to check out your site.

Thanks for stopping by. All the films are pretty good. Lowest rating would be 3.5 for Strip Nude.
What’s your brothers site?
